Full Membership

Full Membership is open to medically qualified psychiatrists of Nigerian heritage who are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and who are working or residing in the United Kingdom

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to:

  • Retired psychiatrists of Nigerian heritage who previously practised in the UK

  • Psychiatrists of Nigerian heritage training or working outside the UK who maintain links with UK psychiatry

  • Medical students and Foundation Year doctors of Nigerian heritage aspiring for a career in psychiatry

Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership may be conferred by the Executive Committee on individuals who have made outstanding contributions to:

  • The mission of NPUK, or

  • The advancement of psychiatry in the United Kingdom and Nigeria
